Mid-week Message

Greetings!

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6: 4-7

You all will be happy to hear that my quarantine is over this week, I am on the mend, and I will be able to be with you in worship this Sunday!

Next week is Vacation Bible Camp! Stevie is preparing for a fun week of passing on our faith to our children. This year the kids will be focusing on the story of Joseph in the Hebrew Bible. I am helping out with the Bible story teaching and am delving deeply into the curriculum this week. Stevie is also doing a deep dive into the curriculum for the entire week, gathering supplies, getting ready to lead, and preparing volunteers. This huge undertaking is a blessing to our children. It wouldn’t be possible without everyone’s support and hard work!

Please keep Stevie and me and all the volunteers in your prayers as we prepare for Bible teaching, leadership, games, snacks, and all around fun. VBC is one of the ways that Briarwood passes down our faith. It is also a way for kids to reconnect with each other and with God after a well-deserved summer break. Praise God for VBC!
