Greetings,
“For it is the God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness’, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” - 2 Corinthians 4:6
Vacation Bible Camp is in full swing this week! All week long, we are reading stories about people who shined Jesus’ light. Throughout the week, the kids have a theme to call out each day to remind them to shine the light of Jesus no matter what’s happening in life:
When life feels dark…shine Jesus’ light!
When people don’t get along…shine Jesus’ light!
When good things happen…shine Jesus’ light!
When people are sad…shine Jesus’ light!
When people need help…shine Jesus’ light!
This week, as the kids are learning to shine Jesus’ light, I invite you to enter into this faith lesson with them. Take time to notice where Jesus’ light is shining in your life. Think about ways you can shine Jesus’ light for others. Give those light-shining ways a try! You might find that the light of Christ shines from your heart to bring hope and joy to the world around you. No matter what is happening in your life…shine Jesus’ light!
Don’t forget that this Sunday is VBC Sunday. See you there!
Grace and peace, Rev. Sarina
