This Week @Briarwood

Saturday, Oct. 20th: District meeting at 3 pm at the church, with elders Liz Kirkland, Ken McCormick & Amal Saikaly.

Sunday, Oct. 21st: One blended worship service at 10:30 am, with New Members and a Baptism. Rev. Sarina will lead the service, and guest speaker Andrea Perrett, PWS&D committee member, will give the sermon. There is a children’s faith program and nursery space during the service. The scripture readings are Micah 1:3-5, 5:2-5a, 6:6-8; Psalm 111; Matthew 9:13. The service will be followed by our 10th annual Board Brunch fundraiser, then Youth Confirmation class with Rev. Sarina, and the Kids’ Worship Club with Stevie.

Donations of winter coats, boots, etc.: Chez Doris is collecting winter coats, hats, scarves and especially boots and socks for women and children. Donations can be brought to Briarwood during October. In November we will begin collecting winter coats, scarves, boots, etc. for the children at Riverview Elementary School in Verdun, and for McGill’s international students experiencing their first Canadian winter.
